Pikey Peak Trek
Trip Overview
Pikey Peak is the highest hill of the lower Solukhumbu providing exclusive views of the entire Everest Range. The peak is situated at a height of 4068m and comprises some of the most magnificient view that can be seen from nowhere else. The trekking route is a magnificent trial usually starting from Phaplu airport passing through the villages of Chaularkharka, Junbesi, Jhapre, Lamajura. The trial passes through thick rhododendron forest, numerous waterfalls, breathtaking cliffs, and amazing views of the mountains. The trek is excellent way to experience the culture of thee hilly group of people namely, Rai, Sherpa, Tamang, Magar. This part of region is some of the untouched trekking trials of Nepal. The top of the peak offers panoramic views of Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Numbur and many more.
The trial composes some of the most important monasteries in the Khumbu region namely Chiwang and Thupten Choling Monastery. The Dudh Kunda Lake along this trial is considered one of the holiest lakes of the hindu group of people. The cultural and natural beauty goes hand in hand during this trek along with the numerous flora and fauna found in this region.
Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu - 1,300m/4,264 ft
Day 2 : Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
Day 3 : Fly to Phaplu and trek to Chayalsa
Day 4 : Trek to Kerung
Day 5 : Trek to Jhapre
Day 6 : Trek to Pikey Base Camp
Day 7 : Climb to Pikey peak and continues trek to Jase Bhanjyang
Day 8 : Trek to Junbensi
Day 9 : Trek to Phaplu
Day 10 : Fly back to Kathmandu
Day 11 : Rest Day in Kathmandu.
Day 12 : Final Departure
