    Kathmandu Valley and Nagarkot Experience

    Trip Overview

    Kathmandu Valley, the valley of temples has been the most significant places in Nepalese history ever since it was habited. It is believed to a huge pond which was later formed into this beautiful valley after Manjushree had drenched the water through Chovar. It has been the focal point for the Hindus and Buddhist. It is the main part of the ancient Tibet trade route. Previously a single state, now it has been divided into three different parts namely, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan. All of them were the ancient capital of the Malla rulers. Kathmandu Valley is blessed with natural as well as cultural antiques which can be observed at every streets and gullies of the city. The valley has the highest densities of natural heritages as compared to anywhere else from the world. Kathmandu valley alone has 7 UNESCO world heritages sites within the circumference of 20 km. Some of the sites we will be visiting are Boudhanath- one of the world’s largest stupa, Pashupatinath-the most important and biggest Hindu pilgrimage site in the world, Swyambhunath- one of the oldest temple ever existed and most important Buddhist pilgrimage site, Kathmandu and Patan Durbar Square- awesome palaces remains of the infamous Malla kings. This makes the valley more special in its cultural and architectural aspects. Valley also is beautiful naturally, the beautiful hill side on the valley adds up on its beauty and serenity. One of the most popular one is the Nagarkot, which is roughly about 32 km from the valley near another beautiful city known as Bhaktapur. It is a small hill station at an altitude of 2195m offering magnificent 360 degree views of the giant Himalayas. Another of its highlights is the sunrise and the sunset that will surely blow out anyone’s mind. It is a perfect spot for those whose want true peace and serenity with the nature.

    Itinerary

    Day 1 : Arrival Transfer to Hotel.

    Day 2 : Kathmandu City Sightseeing, Pashupati, Buddha Nath, Swayambhu Nath and Kathmandu Durbar Square

    Day 3 : Patan Sightseeing and Nagarkot drop.

    Day 4 : Visit around Nagarkot and back to Kathmandu via Bhaktapur Sightseeing.

    Day 5 : Early Morning Mountain Flight and Visit around Thamel and drop International Airport.
